How do I make a blog post rank on Google?

Every blog draft carries a focus keyword, a search title, a description and a slug, with a checklist that scores them before you publish.

  1. Open a blog draft and press Edit. Under Categories sits the SEO group: Focus keyword, SEO title, Meta description, URL slug and Image alt, each with a counter for the length Google shows.
  2. The preview scores the draft against thirteen checks, the same basics Rank Math runs on your site: the keyword in the title, the first paragraph and a heading, the body length, the description length, the slug, links in and out, and the image alt.
  3. Press Optimise for SEO to have the system rewrite the title, the body and the five fields with that checklist in mind. Nothing is saved until you choose Use this version; Discard throws the candidate away.
  4. Save. The fields publish to your site with the post, into Rank Math where it is installed.

A keyword is a phrase a customer would type, not your business name. Pick one per post.
